If the bees disappeared, humans would only have four years to live
In Einstein’s words, if bees disappeared from the earth, humans would only have four years to live. No bees, no pollination, no plants, no animals, and finally no people. “
You might wonder why Einstein referred to it so well, there’s a definite reason for this big man’s prophecy
Bees are vital to our survival and if they disappear there would be a deadly chain reaction that would lead to a global catastrophe.
Let me break it down further:
We all know that all animals and plants on Earth, large or small, depend on each other to some degree for survival. Bees may carry pollen from one flower to another, causing photosynthesis of plant growth, deer eating these plants, and lions eating deer. This shows how energy is transmitted from one organism to another in the form of food
The whole food chain is interconnected, don’t forget that plant pollination is the cornerstone of the whole food chain, and this pollination is largely dependent on bees.
Although not only bees are responsible for pollination along with birds, bats and butterflies, they still manage to pollinate 70% of 90% of the crops on the planet. Without the bees, a very destructive domino scene unfolds.
Bees pollinate plants, which are then eaten by animals, which are eaten by humans. If these animals automatically lose their main food source, the number of animals will decrease, and meat eaters should say goodbye to a few animals such as goats, cows as protein sources. In addition, birds that rely on bees as their main food will soon be eliminated. Without bees, most plants cannot grow or reproduce. As a result, the entire food chain can be disrupted.
So if bees disappear from the planet, human beings probably won’t disappear. But our diets still suffer huge losses. In three months, global crop productivity is about to plummet. Your grocery store will lose about half of your produce, and as a result, there will be less variety on our table and the cost of some products will rise. Within six months, most farms will have to replant corn and wheat fields. But how long can you live on a few things like rice, bread, and oatmeal?
There are many other examples: apples, avocados, onions, almonds and many plants rely heavily on bees for pollination. The disappearance of bees, or even a dramatic decline in bee numbers, would make many foods scarce. Eventually, fewer food crops will lead to global hunger. hunger and poverty will prevail, but humanity will survive – but our dinners will be limited and desert will occur.
Here’s what’s happening:
1. Probably out of honey
2. Many fruits and vegetables cannot grow
3. No more cotton
4. Our diet will change
5. Malnutrition
6. Food costs will skyrocket
Why do bees disappear?
The debate over the disappearance of bees continues. However, it seems obvious that the culprit is pesticides.
pesticide
The use of pesticides in agriculture has increased exponentially because of the Green Revolution. Pesticides designed to kill harmful insects also kill the creatures that help the world and humanity survive. The widespread use of pesticides called neonicotinoids is having a detrimental effect on bee health. These pesticides affect the insect’s central nervous system, causing paralysis and death.
A recent Harvard School of Public Health study found that these pesticides contribute directly to a phenomenon known as colony collapse disorder (CCD). CCD is essentially the process by which bees leave the hive spontaneously. When bees are exposed to pesticides such as neonicotinoids, they are shocked, and when they go out to collect nectar, they forget how to get home. They seem to be endowed with a form of Alzheimer’s.
However, while pesticides can be the leading cause of bee mortality, no other factor is involved.
Aparasite
In addition to pesticides, bees are also thought to die from various parasites called Varroa mites. These blood sucking parasites affect adult bees and young bees, causing the bees to lose their legs or wings and to die.
However, bees die due to a variety of factors, but mainly due to the influence of human behavior. Pesticides, environmental degradation and pollution all contribute to the alarming deaths of bees.
Human survival depends on the health of the planet and its species, if we diminish our fellow organisms that ultimately harm ourselves. We can only make our best contributions if we are aware of this.
